Susan Montgomery, Knoxville, TN – serving since 2010

In April 2010, Susan traveled to South Sudan with a mission trip from the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church to survey medical services in the city of Yei.  Having seen the destruction of the long civil war in Sudan and the potential of a new country being created, she is excited to support Africa ELI in its mission to educate new leaders, especially young women.  Susan works as a clinical psychologist, participates in a number of social justice groups, and is working on a graduate certificate in trauma and conflict transformation.  She is the mother of three grown children and the grandmother of two.
