We provide lifelong education opportunities, leadership, and psycho-social well-being to local vulnerable children, youth and refugees in Uganda, especially females. Over a decade, Africa ELI has worked with both local and international collaborators to initiate, implement and scale impactful programs in Education, Literacy, Leadership and Wellbeing for youth and children.
We are legally registered as a Nonprofit in Uganda and as a 501 (C)3 in the USA.
Africa ELI collaborates with local communities and global partners to bridge education gaps by providing access to quality education, comprehensive well-being resources and leadership development opportunities for East African vulnerable youth and children, especially girls.
Our vision is to empower vulnerable children and youth in Uganda, including refugees, with quality education that fosters leadership, especially among girls. We envision a future where these young leaders cultivate healthier families, promote sustainable livelihoods, and foster constructive social interactions. Together, they will nurture a peaceful, inclusive, and civil society committed to equal opportunities for all citizens.
Every day across Uganda, countless young people wake up with big dreams but limited chances to pursue them. Many vulnerable youth and refugees, especially girls are held back not by a lack of potential, but by barriers that deny them education, mentorship and a safe space to grow. At Africa ELI, we step into that gap with a simple belief, when a young person is given the tools to rise, they become brave beyond barriers. We make this possible by providing lifelong learning opportunities, leadership development and psycho-social support that nurture confidence, purpose and resilience. Over the years, our work has opened doors for young people who once felt unseen and still breaking cycles of limitation, challenging stereotypes, expanding access to quality education, and strengthening emotional wellbeing.
